The Cliff Avril Family Foundation Charity Weekend kicked off in 2013 with one goal: to give back to the community. What started as a free youth football camp at Cliff Avril’s alma mater, Clay High School, has since grown into one of Clay County’s premier community events, bringing together hundreds of youth and families each year through football and family-friendly entertainment.

In 2014, the Foundation expanded the weekend by introducing Family Fun Day, creating an event where families could enjoy free food, music, entertainment, games, and community resources. The Charity Weekend continued to evolve, and in 2026, the Foundation added a Youth Flag Football Tournament, providing even more opportunities for young athletes to compete and connect.

While the event has grown over the years, one thing has remained the same: every event during Charity Weekend is completely free and open to the public. Through football, family fun, and community engagement, the Cliff Avril Family Foundation remains committed to inspiring youth, strengthening families, and giving back to the community that helped shape Cliff’s journey.
